I am a graphic designer and artist who is especially interested in fiber arts, printmaking, and handmade paper. My graphic design background greatly influences my art. I like to stylize or abstract images and incorporate typography at times. Also mixing techniques is fascinating to me. I might make a linocut print on silk that I have eco-dyed and rust-printed or use my handmade paper in an encaustic painting to achieve a different effect.

 

While nature is always big inspiration, I’m also drawn to rusty objects and peeling paint on walls or old signage for the wonderful textures. I’m always on the lookout for interesting color and texture.
